THAT IS WHAT LOVE IS ALL ABOUT

Read this somewhere..great piece worth reading..here it is you for all you fellow bloggers.....

---------------------------------------------

It was a busy morning, about 8:30 , when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb.

He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am .

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him.

I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's' appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.

The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's disease.

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?"

He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is."

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life."

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE!

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got
due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From world
Over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:

"Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

The world over –

50 million children start playing tennis,

5 million learn to play tennis,

half a million learn professional tennis,

50,000 come to the circuit,

5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach Wimbledon,

4 to semi final,

2 to the finals,

When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD " Why me?".

And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"

Famous for a Day--Thanks Rediff!

26th June '07 yes that was the day of short fame for me. I am an introvert person and generally don't like to get attention. I was at work and during the afternoon one of my friend called up to say that I was on the Home Page of Rediff...I did not believe him and thought he was kidding but when he read aloud titles of my blog I  had to believe him because none of  my friends till that day knew about this blog of mine.  No one at all, so in a way this friend of mine caught me red handed J...but it was fun to see loads of messages around 250 of them from all fellow bloggers. Interestingly a couple of them had sent love u messages too apart from so many friend requests. I never thought people would like my writing so much but several positive comments on my posts really made me feel good. In fact I saved that day’s rediff home page as a memory. It feels nice to show it to friends and tell them that I was famous even though it was for a day.

It was a Nice experience and thanks to all those who had posted comments and messages.

Special thanks to the friend who told me, otherwise I would have surely missed seeing my name on the rediff’s homepage.

I am a mobile

Hi..let me introduce myself first..I am a mobile...It's great to be born as a mobile in this world. ..no prizes for guessing why....you get all the attention in the world from each and everyone around.

My owner is a beautiful girl and she keeps me close to her heart. I am so precious for her that she can't do without me even for an hour. Isn't that exciting?  I am sure many of you reading this are jealous of me..lol.

The best part of being a mobile owned by a beautiful girl is that she tells me all her deeply guarded secrets without thinking even for a sec. I know all about her friends, whom she hates and whom she loves. My contacts list has them all. I know what she is going through, her happy and sad moments, about her dates, confusions in life, her romantic moods and everything. Through the SMSes that she sends and the calls she makes, things that even the ones closest to her don't know I KNOW them all. When she is happy..I know why...when she is sad I know why...she just cannot hide anything from me.

I know everything about her interesting love life and boring office life. I am with her all night through and i am the one she holds as soon as she gets up in the morning:)  This is not all whenever she kisses someone through me..it’s me whom she kisses ultimately...what else do you want from life..hehe.

The long wait was finally over...

It was a special day for Tammy and Arjun too. Tammy was waiting for this day ever since she got in touch with her love Arjun. She was excited and restless too. That morning while getting ready for work, she wore a white ethnic kurti and blue jeans and also did little make-up to look pretty:). When she left for work from home that day, no one at her home knew anything about her meeting with Arjun. She thought it was not important and it was not the right time.

Arjun did not know what to feel. He got up early that day and in fact he could hardly sleep that night. There was a mixture of feelings going on inside him as he boarded the bus to Tammy's city. It was a 5 hours drive and all these 5 hours he just kept thinking about how it would be like meeting Tammy. She was very very special to him -- someone who had touched his heart like no body ever did in all the years of his life. He had never mixed up with any girls as such in his life and it would be his first experience of meeting a girl.

As Arjun was nearing Tammy’s city, he thought about his yesteryears. Arjun had seen his parents struggling to up bring him and his sisters. When he was just 5, he used to wish to grow up fast and start working and bring lots of happiness to his family. His life was quite different than other kids. The time when normally children enjoy with their friends was the most crucial in his life. He had a difficult childhood and got into work when he was barely 15. People did not take him seriously then due to his young looks and he also remembered how he had grown a beard to look mature. When he was 24 Tammy came in his life. He was very fond of computers and was passionate about learning it. He learnt computers somehow and started visiting computer cafes and loved to make friends on chat. This was the only enjoyment or refreshment he used to have and loved the world of his net friends. But when he met Tammy, things changed forever. He used to talk to her for hours and loved sharing jokes with her. Their conversation was always filled with laughter and fun. As Arjun was so engrossed in his past life, that he did not realize when he reached his destination.

In nervousness and confusion, Arjun left the gift he had bought for Tammy in the bus. He was a textile trader and had brought a blue suit-piece for Tammy. Blue because he remembered Tammy told him once that blue was her favorite color. It was around 10:30 a.m. and Tammy was sitting at her workstation waiting for her phone to ring. She was constantly thinking of Arjun. Just then her phone buzzed and yes it was Arjun's call. He was outside her office waiting for her. She picked up the phone thinking that Arjun must be still on his way and slowly said "Hello...". "Hello" said Arjun a bit shy "I am waiting outside, come soon."

Both were nervous as both were meeting someone like this for the first time in their lives. Tammy had always thought that she would shake hands with Arjun when she comes face to face with him. She went outside and saw Arjun standing with his back towards her. She went towards him and said "Hi..." Arjun turned around and said "hi..." Both were silent not knowing what to speak. Tammy forgot shaking hands with him.

As they walked together, slowly they started talking. Tammy asked, "So how was the journey." "Good quite good", was Arjun's reply.  Then it was Arjun's turn to speak "Did you apply for the leave?" “Yeah …” said Tammy. Arjun then told her that he forgot her gift in the bus. Tammy said it's alright but deep inside she wanted to see what he had bought for her because it would have been the most special gift for her."

She felt very awkward being face-to-face with him. She found him different but her own. His eyes said it all. Their was truth and sincerity in his eyes. Arjun thought Tammy was sweet and child like. Once she started she just went on and on without knowing what she is speaking. She was truly happy. Arjun was quiet most of the time still thinking whether it’s a dream or reality. She had brought a bracelet for him but Arjun refused to take the gift, he was so shy. She showed him pictures of his family members. Both felt an unusual warmth of love between them. Just two hours had passed and Tammy received an urgent call from work. She had to rush back to office. Arjun felt very disappointed but couldn't say much except, "Can't you do something to stay for a little more while." Tammy too wanted to stay but with a sad heart said “I think I will have to go, but do call Okay!” They bid an emotional good bye to each other with a smile.

Bleeses from Above

As i woke up filled with ur thoughts
felt so beautiful to feel u in my heart
It seemed that our love is growing
with each moment that goes by...

just a thought came to my mind
perhaps i too would be in your thoughts
and you too want to hold me in ur arms
the way i long to feel the contentment again
if that is true .......
i have no regret that we fell in love
No complains why we are away
for love is a gift not known to all
and only the blessed from above
can feel its mystry...

and whereever you are my love
i pray that you achieve the hieghts
that you wanted to reach
and i pray deep within
that all your prayers be answered
in the hope that I am in your prayers
just as you are in mine

together we would be when . . ...

Pls Note:This poem is not written by me.

We might not meet, we might not chat,
but we would still be friends,
you better don't forget that..

Times would go passing by,
changes would come with you and I,
our lives destiny would shape,
as with time progress we make.

Distance would take us away miles & miles,
we might not even see each others smiles.
We might not help each other; but still let not,
our friendship wither..

The magic of friendship would call me
and I would miss you then
thinking..
together we would be when . . ...

Silly thing about love...

Tammy got an SMS from her old friend that said ...Silly thing about love is that when u get little..u want more..u get more ..u desire even more..but when u loose..u realize "less was enough..."

She thought to herself how true the mesage was in her relationship with Arjun and perhaps in most love relationships that did not end the way they should -- like most of our old romatic Hindi movies end..."And they lived happily ever after...". That message brought tears in her eyes and once again Tammy longed to be with Arjun thinking where and how he would be..."

All her past memories came back to her, memories of how she met Arjun and how she started loving him and he too. This was around 6 years ago when Tammy was just out of University and got her first job. Jobs were not so popular that time as they are now with so many IT companies and BPOs all around. She was new to the whole corporate culture and was very scared of what is gonna happen to her if she won't know how to do what she would be asked to by her boss. But gradually and slowly she learnt and was comfortable with her job. It was during this job that she was first introduced to computers and the "INTERNET".

And Internet was where Tammy met Arjun. After 6 months or so of her job came IT slowdown when there was very less work at office. Guys used to pass time chatting and web surfing. Tammy also learnt to chat and started to enjoy it a lot as she was not very extrovert and while on chat she could make friends easily. One day as she was in a chatroom looking for friends one of the several windows that popped up was from " _simplibindass_: that said... hi ..how are u doing lady?". As she started to talk to this guy, they became really great pals. Tammy thought Arjun had a great sense of humor and used to love his jokes and philosophical quotes. They used to have frequent chats that both used to enjoy.

Work was still not there so nobody at office objected to chatting in office hours. Arjun was 23 then and Tammy was 25 years. Arjun was in a trading business in a a city other than Tammy's. Initially Arjun gave Tammy a wrong picture of what his lifestyle was like -- perhaps a picture that he always imgined for himself. He said that he is quite well-to-do and had servants and cars. Tammy was so naive that she believed every word of what he used to type. At that point in time, Arjun was also new to computers and since his work involved being in the market the whole day, he used to take some time off to be in Cyber Cafe. The best quality according to Tammy in him was his passion for work. This was because he had seen hard times in life and wanted to give lots of happiness to his parents. As he started chatting to Tammy, he told her about his difficult childhood and how he got into work early in life and never got time to enjoy like other kids of his age. Arjun used to login just to have some great time and beat stress and soon he started to enjoy his online friendship with Tammy. the main reason for this was that due to the nature of his work he mostly used to interact with older people and not people of his age and hence did not have any circle of friends as such.

Tammy often used to ask herself if she liked Arjun just because he has cars and servants and lives in a big house and she was not sure if that was one of the reasons of her liking for him. As they came to know each other better, one day Arjun told Tammy that whatever picture he gave her of him is not true and in reality he belongs to a simple middle class family and trying to be something in his life. To his surprize Tammy did not get upset with him one bit. Tammy too did not knew why it did not make her angry and why her liking for him did not affect one bit by Arjun's lie. That day Tammy got all her answers and realized that her liking for him was not due to his posessions but for the person he was. She loved the fact how he used to take care of his parents, was so hard working and had amazing confidence to reach his goals...she was in love...

Arjun and Tammy met after two years of their online friendship...

....To be contd...

Be Mine Forever

I have often heard about heartbreaks
i have often heard about  lost love
i have often heard about break-ups and unhappy marriages
but promise me my love that this will never happen to us

never talk about being away from me and my thoughts
never say that i love you but...
never say t's over and it can't be

if it happens to us...anyday
i would rather stop living that very moment
...the thought itself is unbearable

promise me that we will be together in happy moments and sad
promise me we will be patient in angry moments
promise me we will listen to each other and solve our problems wisely
promise me millions of happy moments
promise me to be mine forever and ever
and promise me to fulfill these promises...

Understand the mystery called woman...

I just happened to visit a whole site that invited women and men to give their opinions on what a women is like...I am a woman myself and am pleased to know how curious men are to understand her. Here are my views, may be it will help some of the men out there to understand her....better..Keep tryingJ

A woman can love her man infinite times more than him. She is the one who will love to stay by his side in all ups and downs of life if she knows that her man is loyal to her and she is the only woman he truly loves. When she loves and things don't work out, it takes her years at times her whole life to forget her love. She has immense patience and courage and can fight with the whole world for her man when there is a need. Ones she develops trust and faith in her man, it is unshakable but if the man cheats on her, she is hurt so deeply that it is hard for her to trust another man.

A woman can make a man's life wonderful because of her capacity to love, care and show affection. She showers all her love on the man she loves and loves the love she gets in return. Small things make her happy. She might not be as happy when you gift her diamond than when she is when her man gives her a rose and says "Thanks for being part of my life."

She can forgive the man for his wrongs and does not like to display his faults to the world. She is there to support and encourage him and be his pillar of strength. Love is very important to her and she can leave the world for her man, if he promises to love her all his life.

She acts like a child when she wants her man to shower love on her. She can make men go crazy with her sensuousness, beauty and wit. She loves the smell of her man who loves her and longs to be with him when he is not around.

Sadly, some women are so naive that smart men often succeed in fooling her and playing with her feelings. At times, in spite of knowing that the man is not faithful, she can’t help but love him.

When in a relationship she wants honesty, loyalty, truthfulness, strength of character, good humor, care, affection and loads of pampering. At times she is irritating FOR MEN because of her emotional nature. She can’t help being emotional and tears come easily in her eyes. Her smile is beautiful and spreads joy.

There is so much more to a woman…. I will continue some other time…until then..Take care and would love to know what men feel about women.
